Issue with "Live external edits"

Hi,

I like the idea of "live external edits", but i encounter some strange behavior. While editing a page, from the to time my inputs are "doubled" and marked es external edit.
At first i thought that was, as i had two SB windows open. But even with only one session open and no other edits happening, i see this problem occur.

Some information:

  • More often on a mobile device, but also on browser clients
  • different silverbullet installations:
  • one in a docker setup, behind nginx reverse proxy
  • one is running binary on a Windows machine locally (without network)
  • both updated to latest silverbullet 2.10.0-31-g754e8525-2026-08-06T14-22-39Z

Of course, this could be a setup/environment problem here, but as this could get somewhat annoying, maybe it would be better to have this feature optional...

For the record for those confused: this is a feature on edge, there may still be issues. As there apparently are. Thanks, I’ll look into it.

Yeah I’m seeing the same happen on mobile.

Oh, that's good (in some way...), as It's reproducible :slight_smile:
I'm getting this on my Linux PC on a browser as well. And on my Work PC running Windows and Chrome, too. So it doesn't look client dependend for me...

Let me know, If I could contribute any infos.

Looks I found it. Will push a fix hopefully later today.

Pushed what I hope is a fix. For me seems ok now, but this is a tricky area to get right so let’s stay alert.

Yes, Problem seems to be gone now.
