SilverBullet install using Alpine Linux (with go)

I attempted to use the binary for 2.1.9 and it did not work. I didn’t spend time troubleshooting and immediately pivoted to installing go and compiling. I should have posted here and asked for help first.

Using your binary would simplify the installation. Next time I update SilverBullet, I will spin up a new container, use the binary, and reach out to the community for help with any problems.

Mystery solved on why the binary releases were not working thanks to Zef’s help.

This guide results with an environment to use as well contribute potential code PR back to the project. If you want to run SilverBullet without compiling from source code, the binary releases may be a better option.

This problem looked familiar so I looked into it and also tried this in an LXC container on Alpine. The odd thing is that SilverBullet’s default docker containers are also running on Alpine, so I wouldn’t have expected to be a problem.
