Who is using: two/three finger taps on mobile?

Triggered by this question, who's an active user (or even aware) of the ability to open the page picker with a two-finger tap, and the command palette with a three-finger tap?

Honestly, at some point I thought this was clever and nice, but I don't see myself using at all. Anybody else actively using this and would miss it if it were gone? Because it does break some defaults browser behaviors (like ability to zoom).

I use mobile mostly, and had no idea about these shortcuts. I don't feel comfortable using them now that I know they exist - it feels like I'm going to click something by mistake. I won't miss them if they're removed.

Here my three use cases of two finger tap:

  • I would use two finger pinch to zoom the page if it wouldn't bring up that stoopid page picker :stuck_out_tongue:

  • joking aside. I would love to see a way to customize or disable two finger tap, so I can zoom the page like on 99.9% of other websites do.

  • I never used two/three finger tap to bring up the page/command pickers. Mostly it's getting only in the way for me when my muscle memory tries to zoom a page.

I mostly use SilverBullet on mobile and I do use these shortcuts all the time. I would miss them if they were removed and similarly probably wouldn't use page zoom functionality that replaced them (If I want to zoom in to an image I click the eye icon and use the dedicated image viewer).

But it's not really a big deal, if the consensus is to remove them I'm sure it wouldn't take me long to get used to using menu items for the two pickers instead :grinning_face:

I do not use the 2 finger or 3 finger tap, mostly when I use them is by accident.
I have both of these (page picker and command palette) in my toolbar, as that is where I expect them to be.

I don't use mobile SB much, I prefer the desktop experience. But my vote goes for removing the shortcuts. They almost always get in the way because I don't remember they exist :slight_smile:

I discovered the two-finger tap by chance a few days ago and have gotten into the habit of using it instead of clicking on the icon to launch the page picker. I didn't know about the command palette with the three-finger tap, though.

I personally like the behavior, but if the consensus is that it should be removed, then so be it.
