Am I using SB wrong? Backlinks to links generated via query?

Hi! Just started using SB and am loving the options it gives me to finally organise and centralise all my haphazard notes. I mention this because, well, it's my first time using a notes program like this, so the organisation method I came up with might be wrong (and thus my question moot ahah).

Currently I have a system organised completely around tags. I have "main" tags, that I use as the overarching topic of something, and then subtags.
Then I have index tagged pages, each with queries within for their associated tags.
Basically: homepage queries all pages tagged with index. I go to one, say, Ideas (ideas), which, within, then queries all dev, writing, etc. And so on and forth

However, this doesn't generate backlinks, which is kind of the point of Silverbullet, no?
This is frankly not a big deal, it's simple enough to get back to each page. Ironically, what initially gave me the push to start using SB was the backlinks (and Lua+queries because I love tinkering), and I ended up coming up with a system that doesn't use them.

So, if my rambling didn't get too confusing: am I using Silverbullet wrong? If this is fine, is it possible to have SB generate backlinks to these dynamically generated links?

Thanks!

Welcome to SilverBullet! As powerful as backlinks are, I'd say the only "wrong" way to use SB is to use it in a way that doesn't actually serve you. If those tagged pages are working for you and help you organize, then it's good! You shouldn't feel the need to force backlinks into your system if they don't seem to actually be needed, it's just one tool among many in SB. You might find them more useful somewhere else.

To help understand, would you mind posting a screenshot of what you have and what you expect?

There isn't much to show, my "secondary" question of sorts, is if it's possible to have backlinks/linked mentions appear when linked via a Space Lua query.

Basically no. Links are indexed based on links appearing in markdown that is "materially" in files, not part of the output that is dynamically calculated.
