Discord is out, all aboard the Discourse

I’ve shut down the SilverBullet Discord server. There’s various reasons for this:

  1. Random people would join it looking for a cracking tool with the same name
  2. Spam

But more importantly: discussions there were not accessible or searchable long term. It seems healthier to have people ask questions on this open (to the world) discourse forum.

I’ve enabled chat as well (see the bubble up top) for those who like it. However, generally I would encourage people to ask questions in the appropriate categories here.

Maybe you could move to matrix? Makes more sense for an OSS project.

We could, but… what would that add?

I will miss the Discord. It seems like a good place to meet and share ideas. Forums are great but they are not the preferred method of communication on the internet anymore, especially with the younger crowd.
