I've very recently installed SB on a VPS, and using Tailscale to sync my phone/ipad/laptop. It's working so well. Easy to set up, easy to backup.
There are many reasons I'm loving SB:
a) my notes are totally private and safe
b) the sync is flawless
c) the editor doesn't get in your way at all - you just type
d) there is no structure enforced on me - I don't have to use folders/collections; I don't have to use tags (I do, though, minimally)...
e) backlinking is implemented so well
f) there's loads for me to learn.
