I’m trying to use periods in my note names, but it’s giving me an error saying that it can’t be file extensions.
I’m trying to move my notes from a folder structure to something with the name.
Example:
work.meeting.vender.MeetingName2024-09-04

Yes, this is a restriction: Page Name Rules
I saw that. I was hoping there was a way around that. I’ll just have to come up with a different naming patten.
Thanks.
I’m finding this to be a bit annoying…
So, I don’t use silverbullet in isolation, and probably never will (which is why I like that it’s Markdown native!), and one of the tools I use when interacting with my notes from the command line is nb. nb
uses periods for different kind of entries it creates. For example if I bookmark a website (I.e., create a markdown version of the site locally) it creates a file like something.bookmark.md
.
I understand why one might not want to create Pages with an extension-looking name, but all that I am asking is that SilverBullet respects links to already existing files with periods in them.
Is this something that can be considered? I’d be happy to file an Issue in github
