"Page changed, reloading" displayed, but page doesn't actually seem refresh

Hi,

I'm running SilverBullet (version 2.8.1-0-gdbf3550-2026-05-20T17-43-32Z) on a VM on the Internet and am using the instance from a variety of devices (desktop, laptop, Android mobile) to access my notes from anywhere and keep them in sync.

I've noticed a few times when editing a page on a computer and then accessing that changed page some time later on my Android mobile where SilverBullet is already at that specific page, that there'll appear a blue box with some text like "Page changed, reloading", but I won't actually see the updated content of the page unless I navigate away from it and then come back to it.

I expected the "reloading" part to take care of updating the page, and I have observed this working properly on both my laptop and desktop, but the behavior seems occasionally different on my Android mobile. Would this be considered a bug? If so, could it be SilverBullet-related or is it more likely a limitation or side-effect of (perhaps) power saving on the Android mobile platform?

Thanks!

This should definitely just happen in place. It's built in such a way that it's minimal (preserving your cursor position, scroll position) etc, but the content should definitely change. If it doesn't it's a bug, please report it on Github. As to could this be about energy saving mode: I would doubt that, but Android is the wild west, so who knows  Please add as much detail to the phone, browser you are using to the issue.

Cool. Thanks for confirming. I have opened issue 2005.
