Read only, mobile, keyboard popping up

Hello,

Currently migrating away from Obsidian and loving Silverbullet’s capabilities.

One capability that I’m interested in is mentionned here:

Read-only mode (for mobile only?)

When I use SB on mobile (with on-screen keyboard) I often get annoyed by the key…board popping up when I just want to read some stuff. I’m now considering if we should add a simple read/edit mode button in the top-right bar only visible for mobile devices. Double tapping a page in read mode would also switch it to edit mode. At a technical level this is pretty easy to do, SB already has a read-only mode but it’s only used in very few places (like for full-text search results).

but I’m not sure how to enable it (and a bit unsure if available).

Mobile and virtual keyboards

Problem: If you use a mobile device with a virtual keyboard (tested using And…roid and Google Chrome) to access https://play.silverbullet.md, then the virtual keyboard pops up and fills a significant portion of the screen each time you tap on the text. If you are just navigating the space, this is incredibly distracting. Expected: Navigating the space on mobile devices should not be a second or third class experience. Solution: Add a new command to toggle the editable flag of the CodeMirror editor. (https://codemirror.net/docs/ref/#view.EditorView%5Eeditable) (I have not actually tested this. But that flag makes sense based on my understanding of HTML5 and webbrowsers.) After that command exists, it can be added to the `actionButtons` of the https://silverbullet.md/SETTINGS page and made mobile only like "{[Navigate: Back in History]}".

Is there a way to make the read-only button available on both, mobile and desktop, and also make it the default state?
