Shortcuts not intercepted in Firefox

I'm using silverbullet in Firefox, on Linux, on the latest release (2.12).

Shortcuts are defaulting to the regular browser shortcut instead of the silverbullet one.
For example, the default New Note shortcut is Ctrl + q, q. Ctrl + q quits the browser.

Is this normail? IE, should I be re-binding all of those browser shortcuts to something else?

I have experienced the same glitches with shortcuts in Firefox (sorry I was unable to find the "Me too" button that appears in other post).
