SilverBullet + PikaPods

I recently decided to take a leap again into SB. My biggest hurdle last time was the server setup so that I can access my spaces on my phone and tablet.

Once I saw SB+ I knew I had to try again. I set it up with PikaPods for access via the browser and it was soooo easy. I have no issues and the sync between PC and mobile is almost instant to include images.

As my young kids say 10/10.

Yes Pikapods is a nice service. My only little gripe is that you cannot control the version there, they decide when to upgrade all users. So the version will often lag a little bit.

But super convenient indeed! And they do some revenue sharing with me as well, so that’s always appreciated too.

Hi Zef, I have a question about silverbullet+. My interpretation was that the + version would come with some kind of sync similar to Obsidian, but it seems like it does not. Will syncing using onedrive cause using when editing the same file from different computers?

It has sync support, primarily with silverbullet(.md) servers: Sync — SilverBullet+ it works the same way as SB.md sync: Sync (same engine, effectively)

You can also sync files however you like (dropbox or otherwise). All sync comes with the usual caveats of file based sync: if the same file is changed on both ends, you end up with conflicts.

Not sure how fancy Obsidian Sync is, perhaps they do some sort of CRDT-like sync, more real-time? Not sure, but no SB doesn't have that.
