Which is preferable? I believe it may be the latter. But constant awareness is essential, for we face formidable ancestors — ones that had already existed and matured long before SB came into being.
That is exactly the reason I have been searching for some invent that combines the qualities of a bidirectional notes app with those of an SB server. My exploration has steadily guided me from one note-taking platform to the next, eventually bringing me to SB.
At present, this brings a subtle benefit: since SB remains in its infancy, the great giants either do not know of us, or knowing, choose to disregard us. But we, in turn, recognize their presence and approach their ancient wisdom with respect and a will to learn.
Take it slow, one step at a time. The future will surely belong to the truly wise.
