Vanishing pages

Hi all,

I’ve been a happy Silverbullet user on a daily basis for 4 months now. However, for the last couple of weeks I’ve experienced ‘vanishing’ pages. For example ‘Meeting Notes A’ can be found using a hyperlink in SB, but cannot be found using queries like recently edited pages or using the ‘page picker’ (Command/Control K) (my favorite way of navigating). If I look into the markdown file structure of the space itself, the document exists.

I’m using both Edge and Safari on different plaforms (Windows, iOS and MacOS), i’ve been clearing browser caches in different ways.

The vanishing pages are somewhat larger (perhaps 2000 words) but nothing exceptional, no strange file names.

What else can I do to make things work again?

Did you by any chance tag with #meta or something starting with that tag? If so, you can find them in the meta picker. Meta Page

If not, does a “Space: Reindex” solve the issue?

Any strange characters in the name?

which version? If version >2.5.2, maybe you hit Page not in index on certain markdown token combinations · Issue #1903 · silverbulletmd/silverbullet · GitHub

Thanks for all your replies

I am on version 2.6.1.

There's no #meta tag there, 'space reindex' doesn't help, however, the bug suggested by Fichtennadel may very well be the cause.

I tend to copy/paste small amounts of text from formatted meeting agenda's (Word/e-mail) into Silverbullet, sometimes resulting in cluttered formatting.

The GitHub link tells this should be fixed shortly, so I'll wait out for that.

Ah right. Yes I’ll try to do a release over the next few days.

To finish this discussion, updating to 2.7 has solved this issue. :+1:
