Why alt key shortcut still works?

Just out of curiosity. I find that although it is mentioned in the release note that the code mirror drops support for alt + <letter> shortcuts. But I am surprised that most of my alt key shortcuts still works now on my instance (although already on latest image).

Any comments? I am a heavy alt key user, almost every command I was binding to alt. I don't know why they want to remove this from code mirror. :dotted_line_face:

But I still have hope that maybe it is false alarm, so that I can still use my alt key shortcuts.

Honestly I don’t really understand the exact rule, so I may have oversimplified it. I noticed Alt-h and some others broke after upgrading CodeMirror, then found some GitHub issues with people reporting the same and some vague explanation of why this was. I haven’t really been able to find proper reasoning or an announcement of this change.

But, if it works for you still: great!
